Barbra Streisand - Prisoner (1978)

July 29, 1978 - 43 Years Ago Today: Barbra Streisand had the Hot Shot Debut at No. 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with her single, "Love Theme From 'Eyes Of Laura Mars' (Prisoner)." This Karen Lawrence/John Desautels-penned single was Streisand's 24th chart entry on the Hot 100 and it debuted just six weeks following her leadoff single and title track, "Songbird," which many felt the chart life of that single was cut short due to the release of this single.
