March 6, 1976 - 45 Years Ago Today: Fleetwood Mac debuted at No. 89 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with their single, "Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)." This was the second of three Top 20 Hot 100 singles the group would score from their self-titled album and new lineup which included American members Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The single followed the No. 20 peak of Christine McVie's "Over My Head." "Rhiannon" was written by Stevie Nicks and it was clear to the critics and public alike that the addition of Buckingham and Nicks would be prove to be solid gold. The single peaked at No. 11 on June 5, 1976 which gave the group its biggest hit since they originally formed in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and Stevie Nicks was inducted as a solo artist in 2019.
