Donna D. Sadler Donna Davis On June 25th, Donna Davis saw the light of day. Music has been an important part of her life since she was born. She reports of an ear operation that she had to undergo as a young child. She wore a thick bandage around her head, but as soon as she heard music she jumped up and danced "Singing was always on of my favorite things to do". "Rise" also rose as high as No. 4 on the Billboard R&B Chart and No. 17 on the Billboard Disco Top 100 and was certified Gold. It earned Alpert a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental.
