  Children of Divorce:  The Hoffman, Malik and Williams family have all run in to trouble with the parents getting divorced. For Andrea Hoffman (Stacey Nelkin) that is coming to terms with the life of luxury gone and a change of school whilst for Tony Malik (Lance Kerwin) that is being used as a go between and then there is Denise Williams (Kim Fields) who fears not seeing her father again. Did you know that it was actually a major breakthrough in studio recording? by Matthew Perpetua BuzzFeed Staff Awesome Mix Vol. 1, the soundtrack to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack, is the No. 1 album in the United States . As anyone who's seen the movie knows, it's full of amazing '70s pop gems. One of the best songs on the mix is 10cc's 1975 smash "I'm Not In Love," which is used at the very beginning of the film. It's a gorgeous, emotional song, but it's also a major breakthrough in studio engineering.   10cc's blend of musical invention and lyrical lament brought pop perfection to the mid-70s charts Pinterest Few bands survive for long with four equally strong songwriters, so it was inevitable  10cc  would implode one day. But in the mid-1970s they brought musical invention and lyrical lament to the British pop charts, appealing as much to John Peel's earnest student listeners as to Top of the Pops teenyboppers. Graham Gouldman had already written hits including For Your Love and Heart Full of Soul for the Yardbirds, Bus Stop for the Hollies and No Milk Today for Herman's Hermits. His fellow Mancunians Kevin Godley and Lol Creme, joined by Eric Stewart who had played with Gouldman in the Mindbenders, had an international hit with  Neanderthal Man  under the name Hotlegs, before Gouldman joined and they were signed to Jonathan King's label UK Records and rechristened 10cc.
